Prevent Wrinkles With These 5 Proven Steps

The younger you look, the better you look – not just to yourself – but to most people.

However, there are inevitable signs of aging that you cannot run away from like wrinkles which always remind you of your age. But while there are plenty of wrinkle removing creams and similar products available on the market, there are actually five proven ways how you can prevent wrinkles from showing their marks on your face.

So even if you’re not yet suffering from laugh lines in your eyes, avoiding the damage even before they come is an even better concept that you should keep in mind. So if you’re ready, listed below is the five proven ways how you can prevent wrinkles.

1. Eat foods high in monosaturated fat.

Proper diet plays an important role in keeping your skin healthy and preventing wrinkles. Eating the right kinds of dietary fats allows your skin to produce the right amount of oil it needs, stay hydrated, and maintain elasticity. Medical studies have shown that women who eat foods with high amount of monsaturated fats like butter, eggs, lean meat, olive oil, and yogurt have a better and firmer skin tone than those who don’t.

2. Pine bark extract.

Bodybuilders love pine bark extract for one good reason: it promotes arterial health which in turn allow the body to get all the minerals, nutrients, and oxygen it needs all throughout the body. What’s even better with pine bark extract is that it improves your skin color and reduces skin pigmentation especially in the face.

3. Quit smoking.

Now don’t frown about this one. Research has it that those who smoke cigarettes are more likely to end wrinkly as they grow older than those who do not light up a stick. Not only that, smoking lends the skin a dull hue, makes it less elastic, and visibly increases pigmentation blemishes on the skin due to the dull hue. In short, smoking is not so very good for your skin, period. Further research also found out that smoking increases your biological age (which is how your body ages) so you’re more likely to show advanced signs of aging than non-smokers.

4. Red ginseng extract.

As an all-natural food supplement, red ginseng is not only known for its immune system boosting properties but as a potent anti-aging too thanks to its collagen synthesis property. To prove that point, it was found out during a clinical trial that women who regularly take red ginseng supplements have noticeably fewer wrinkles than those who took placebos instead.

5. Use aloe vera.

For many decades now, aloe vera has been a favorite topical ointment due to its cooling effect which makes it perfect to treat sunburns and even problems with dandruff. But just recently, researchers found out that when taken orally, aloe vera helps increase the production of collagen which is the building block of toned and smooth skin. Because aging decreases the body’s ability to produce collagen, taking at least 1,000 milligrams of aloe vera supplement a day is enough to keep the skin supple and produce enough collagen for a smoother and firmer skin tone.
