The world we live in today is much safer than in years past. With the danger to humans being much less than it was even just a few years ago. That being said, there are still major concerns when it comes to survival of the human race, one major concern being health.

When people hear the phrase ‘whole grains‘ they assume this is healthy. WRONG. These were at one time considered healthy sources of nutrients but our bodies developed defence mechanisms against them. Such foods are known to produce toxins that damage digestive linings and prohibit absorption of essential nutrients such as protein.

Groups such as the AHA and the ADA still promote industrial seed oils such as corn, soybean, cottonseed, safflower and sunflower to be heart healthy as alternatives to saturated fats.

Industrial seeds in large amounts are extremely harmful as they are high in omega-6. Diets with more omega-6 than omega-3 in them are known to cause obesity that progressively increase over generations, once study found.


Combine that with the average American diet has 28 times more omega-6 than omega 3 and you can see the bad news written on the wall. Omega-6 seed oils also have been shown to impair leptin signalling, cause inflammation and insulin resistance.  All of which contribute to diabetes.


Not only that but they have also been shown to interfere with the thyroid hormones of the body, blocking them from their receptors, resulting in higher fat mass and a less efficient metabolism.

Refined starches such as white bread, white pasta, white rice and anything made with white flour acts much like sugar once the body starts to digest them. Just like sugar, refined starches interfere with glucose control and should be avoided for those with diabetes and pre-diabetes. Whole milk products are high in saturated fat and can decay insulin resistance.
